Located on ground beside Elm tree,
near east mini wall of the Willow Island Overlook.

The following information is as it appears on the plaque.

THIS AMERICAN ELM TREE WAS PLANTED
ON THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 1967 BY THE
HONOURABLE D.V HEALD, Q.C., CHAIRMAN
OF THE WASCANA CENTRE AUTHORITY.
THE TREE IS DEDICATED TO MR. GEORGE
WATT, WHO SERVED AS PROVINCIAL LAND-
SCAPE GARDENER FROM 1908 TO 1931.
SIMILAR PLANTING CEREMONIES WERE HELD
ON THE SAME DAY IN ALL PROVINCIAL
CAPITALS AS A CENTENNIAL PROJECT OF THE
INTERNATIONAL SHADE TREE CONFERENCE.
