Phillip Mark
Funeral services were held on Tuesday last in the Gardiner Funeral
Home, Winnipeg, for a former resident of the Crandall district, in the
person of Phillip Mark, 74, who passed away shortly after being admitted
to Victoria hospital on September 21.
Mr. Mark came west to Crandall in 1881, and moved to Winnipeg 40 years ago.
For 20 years util his retirement in 1945, he was with the Motor Vehicle
branch of the Manitoba government.
His wife Agnes, died in 1931, and a son, Alvin, in 1952.
The service was conducted by Dr. R.E. McCullagh in the A.B. Gardiner
funeral home. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
He is survived by two brothers; Earl, of Crandall and Arnold, of
Vancouver, and a sister, Mrs. Geo. Todd of Vancouver, and a grandson,
Larry Mark of Winnipeg.
